Standing on the river bank of the MacIntyre River in Goondiwindi that balmy afternoon at dusk - there was magic weaving in and around those ghostly gums. And I felt like he was standing right next to me as the handsome kookaburra tilted his head from the branch above. My dad was a man of the country and a man of the trees. And I know I can always find him in places like these.
