Flax at Duck Reach
“FLAX at Duck Reach is the creation of a bold new chapter for a uniquely Tasmanian story, which began in 1895 when a row of cottages were built for the workers of the Duck Reach Power Station. With its solid foundations and pre-Federation 19th century architecture, FLAX is steeped in history and surrounded by the raw beauty in a delightfully hidden part of Launceston. Framed by natural bushland and nestled at the end of the Cataract Gorge, hovering high above the South Esk River, FLAX provides a unique setting that offers seclusion and serenity. With the Duck Reach trail at the front door and Launceston’s CBD a mere 7 minute drive away, the beautiful North West region of Tasmania is also at your finger tips!
Accommodating up to 3 guests, FLAX has been created as an adults only space that eloquently speaks to our desire to re-connect with each other, to ourselves and to Mother Nature.”
